“A Vivid Nightmare”
I was late for the party,
Everyone had taken their selfie.
I was standing at the door of the house
And with the cheese, came a mouse
The cake was all gone:
I was standing at a corner, alone
The winners were declared of housie
I was late for the party.
I wished the birthday boy and asked where was everybody
He answered promptly
‘You came late to the party’
At last with tears in my eyes
My face filled with fear in disguise
I felt someone shaking me, taking me away from my nightmare
I woke up suddenly and saw my brother on the chair
He laughed uncontrollably,
And said it’s your birthday party!
